Movement data is initially entered on screen shown at right. The user selects a commodity from the description box and the STCC code will populate. Likewise, selecting the freight car type can be selected from the combo box.

Car ownership is selected using the railroad/private radio buttons. If the movement is a full mileage rate (where the railroad pays a rebate for the shipper using private cars), it is necessary to enter a rental rate. If it is zero mileage, the rental rate is 0. The user also uses this screen to enter the freight rate, the lading weight, and the number of line haul railroads.
